This includes both how Japanese politicians use the internet for political campaigning and how Japanese citizens use the internet to connect to politics.<\/p>\n<p>The PMF Program is a flagship leadership development program at the entry level for advanced degree candidates.\u00a0Approximately 6,370 applications were received and 417 Finalists selected.\u00a0 Selection of Finalists is based on eligibility, as well as candidates\u2019 application and assessment scores, and Federal agencies\u2019 projected skill needs.\u00a0 The pool of 417 Finalists represents 59 disciplines, 141 academic institutions, and 41 veterans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Japan Studies Ph.D. Candidate Josh Williams\u00a0has been selected as a finalist for this year\u2019s Presidential Management Fellowship Program.\u00a0Josh&#8217;s\u00a0primary research interest is the connection between Japanese politics and the Internet.
