The Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies<\/strong><\/a> offers a\u00a0 B.A<\/a>.,<\/strong>\u00a0M.A.<\/a><\/strong> and Minor<\/strong> degrees in International Studies with a focus on Asia, East Asia, and Japan with a broad interdisciplinary approach centering around the social sciences.<\/p>\n

Asian Languages & Literature<\/b><\/h3>\n

The Department of Asian Languages & Literature<\/strong><\/a> offers instruction in Japanese with an emphasis on the role of language within Japanese culture, as well as on linguistic, textual, and literary analysis. For Japanese language and literature<\/a>,<\/strong> the department offers\u00a0 minor<\/a>, B.A.<\/a>, M.A.<\/a><\/strong>, and Ph.D.<\/strong><\/a> degree programs.<\/p>\n

Concurrent Degree in Business
\n<\/b><\/h3>\n

The Michael G. Foster School of Business<\/a> offers a concurrent degree program which combines the curricula of the Foster School MBA with the JSIS Master of Arts in International Studies (MAIS)<\/strong>. The MBA\/MAIS<\/strong> program is designed to be completed in three academic years.<\/p>\n

The Foster School also offers a Certificate for International Studies in Business (CISB): Japan track<\/a><\/strong>. The CISB is an exciting academic program created to develop strong business skills and to achieve a global vision. The Japan track in this program allows students to focus on business in\/with Japan. The Evans School of Public Policy and Governance<\/a> offers a concurrent degree program which combines an MPA with the JSIS Master of Arts in International Studies (MAIS)<\/strong>. The MPA\/MAIS<\/strong> program is designed to be completed in three academic years.<\/p>\n

Asian Law Center<\/b><\/h3>\n

The Asian Law\u00a0Center<\/a><\/strong> encompasses both a major research program that includes the sponsorship of a variety of symposia, workshops, and cooperative research projects involving scholars around the globe and an extensive instructional program for J.D., LL.M., and Ph.D. candidates.<\/p>\n
