Grants are for educational outreach, research, research travel, and distinguished speaker engagements, and are up to $2,000 or $5,000 depending on category. Must be an AAS member to apply.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jpf.go.jp\/cgp\/e\/index.html\">The Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership (CGP)<\/a><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><span class=\"m\">CGP provides funding for collaborative projects conducted by people of the U.S., Japan, and beyond on global issues, problems common to advanced industrial societies, and other complications that pertain to U.S.-Japan relations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Some of the CGP programs and activities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jpf.go.jp\/cgp\/e\/grant\/index.html\">Grant Program<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jpf.go.jp\/cgp\/e\/fellow\/abe\/index.html\">Abe Fellowship<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cgp.org\/japan_outreach_initiative\">Japan Outreach Initiative (JOI)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpf.go.jp\/cgp\/e\/exchange\/jald\/index.html\">Japanese American Leadership Delegation Program<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jsps.go.jp\/english\/\">Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS)<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), or Gakushin for short, is an independent administrative institution established by way of a national law for the purpose of contributing to the advancement of science in all fields of the natural and social sciences as well as the humanities.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toshibafoundation.com\/index.html\">Toshiba International Foundation (TIFO)<\/a><\/h4>\n<p><span id=\"hs_cos_wrapper_my_raw_html\" class=\"hs_cos_wrapper hs_cos_wrapper_widget hs_cos_wrapper_type_raw_html\">TIFO strives to contribute to enhanced international understanding of Japan by promoting cultural exchanges, including the organization and sponsorship of symposia and seminars.
