Mackenzie McMillan

Mackenzie graduated from the Japan Studies program in 2018.  He came to the UW to study Japanese society and language in an academic setting, and to contextualize his experiences living in Japan. More specifically, after working as an Assistant Language Teacher on the JET Program from 2013-2016, he became interested in English education in Japan and the accompanying political policies. He is also interested in social issues in Japan, specifically LGBT and minority rights.
