Each year, the Seattle Commission for Human Rights and the Seattle Office for Civil Rights celebrate the anniversary of the signing of the U.N.\u2019s Declaration of Human Rights by recognizing the efforts of human rights leaders across the city. Typically individuals, organizations, and businesses are honored. In 2013, honorees included Tutta Bella Restaurant, youth activist Josefina Mora, and others. UW CHR director Angelina Godoy accepted the award accompanied by faculty, staff, students, and members of the UW CHR&#8217;s Advisory Board (image above).
