The Marcy Migdal Scholarship provides two cash awards of $1,000 each per academic year.<\/p>\n<p>Marcy Migdal was known throughout Washington State as a leading educator in the field of multicultural education and for her passionate commitment to social justice and advocacy for the most vulnerable members of our community. It is the intent of this endowment that Marcy\u2019s selfless dedication and activist spirit live on in this award. Scholarships will be awarded based on the adherence of the proposed activities to the priorities of the Marcy Migdal Fund.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/globalstudies.washington.edu\/about-marcy-migdal\/\">For a complete biography, please click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Award Details<\/h4>\n<p>Number of Awards<br \/>\nTwo awards at $1,000 each<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Deadlines<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Application available: February 25, 2016<\/li>\n<li>Application due: April 15, 2016<\/li>\n<li>Notification: Applicants will be notified on or about May 15, 2016<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Eligibility and Requirements<\/h4>\n<p>All undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Washington (Seattle, Bothell, Tacoma) are eligible to apply. Applicants must: be current UW students in good academic standing; complete the application process prior to the published deadline; and at the completion of the project write a short report on their project and how the funds were used. Recipients must be enrolled at UW during the quarter the award is received.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Application materials<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Your resume with full contact information (address, email, and phone number)<\/li>\n<li>1-2 page statement of purpose describing the activity, your ability to complete the activity, and projected timeline. Please be sure to respond to the application prompts detailed below<\/li>\n<li>1 letter of recommendation<\/li>\n<li>Transcripts from all colleges and universities, including UW<\/li>\n<li>If available, include FAFSA award information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Application Prompts<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Please indicate your major or degree program, and estimated date of completion.<\/li>\n<li>What experiences have you had in furthering social justice or providing access to education?<\/li>\n<li>Are you engaged in a current project for which you would like funding?
