Follow the links for more information.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neh.gov\/divisions\/education\/summer-programs\">National Endowment for the Humanities\u00a0<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Each year, NEH offers tuition-free opportunities for school, college, and university educators to study a variety of humanities topics. Stipends of $1,200-$3,300 help cover expenses for these one- to four-week programs in the summer. Go to their website for a full list of individual programs, application instructions and more information.<\/p>\n<p>Deadline: March 1, 2018<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gilderlehrman.org\/programs-and-events\">The Gilder Lehrmen Institute of American History<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The Institute promotes and celebrates accomplishments in American history education and scholarship at every level. Deepen your understanding and appreciation of American history by participating in a program or joining the Institute\u2019s growing network of teachers, students, scholars, and supporters. Various summer programs, seminars and opportunities are available for educators, particularly for K-12.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goethe.de\/ins\/us\/en\/spr\/eng\/top.html\">Goethe Institut, Transatlantic Outreach Program<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>TOP is a public\/private partnership that promotes education about Germany, fosters intercultural dialogue, and provides the opportunity for North American K-12 social studies educators, STEM educators, and decision makers to experience Germany.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fulbright.de\/programs-for-u-s-americans\/teachers\/education-in-germany\">Fulbright, Education in Germany<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The seminar Education in Germany targets active U.S. teachers from all types of schools and from all relevant teaching areas. It is administered by the German-American Fulbright Commission in Berlin in close cooperation with the University of Regensburg and its renowned Teacher Education Center.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/bilateralchamber.org\/series-programs\/international-trade-programs\/education\/teach\/\">Bilateral US-Arab Chamber of Commerce, TEACH<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The Bilateral US-Arab Chamber\u2019s\u00a0Teachers Educating Across Cultures in Harmony (TEACH) Fellowship was conceived to actively engage U.S. and MENA educators in capacity building initiatives to produce a new generation of leaders equipped to provide solutions to the world\u2019s most pressing social and economic issues.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.daralislam.org\/programs\/education\/teachers-institutes.aspx\">Dar al Islam, Teachers&#8217; Institutes<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The goal is to enable educators\u00a0to teach about Islam with greater confidence. Participants gain a deeper understanding of the basic tenets of Islam and see how Islam works in the daily lives of the program\u2019s Muslim faculty and staff.<\/p>\n<p>The priority deadline is April 15 &#8211; Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until spaces are filled.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ushmm.org\/educators\/professional-events-and-resources\">United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Teacher Training Programs<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The Museum promotes the responsible teaching of the Holocaust through a variety of resources and programs to help the nation\u2019s educators increase their knowledge of Holocaust history and implement sound teaching strategies. Education outreach programs provide teachers with quality Holocaust education, incorporating accurate history, appropriate pedagogy, classroom strategies, and teaching resources.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kkc.or.jp\/english\/fellowship\/fellowships\/index.html#howtoapply\">Keizai Koho Center Fellowships to Japan<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Keizai Koho Center (KKC), in cooperation with the National Association of Japan-America Societies (NAJAS), will offer the \u201cKKC Study Tour to Japan 2017\u201d for U.S. and Canadian social studies teachers.<\/p>\n<p>Application deadline: February 1, 2018<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mountvernon.org\/education\/for-teachers\/teaching-institutes-professional-development\/residential-programs\/summer-residential-programs\/\">George Washington&#8217;s Mount Vernon, Summer Residential Programs<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The George Washington Teacher Institute Summer Residential Programs are 5-day immersive professional development experiences designed to support K-12 educators who teach about the life, leadership, and legacy of George Washington and the 18th-century world in which he lived.<\/p>\n<p>Application deadline: January 29, 2018<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fte.org\/teachers\/teacher-programs\/\">Foundation for Teaching Economics<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>To fulfill the Foundation for Teaching Economics\u2019 mission to promote excellence in economic education by helping teachers of economics become more effective educators, FTE offers different professional development opportunities to teachers.
