For the 2025 application round, priority will be given to lower-division courses that provide a broad introduction to a global theme or field of study, and that can be housed in the Jackson School and\/or cross-listed with the Global and Regional Studies major.\u00a0 Examples of potential course themes\/titles that meet these criteria include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Global social movements<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">International security in a changing world<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Inclusive international development<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Courses should focus on contemporary themes, though inclusion of historical background or cases is also welcome. CGS encourages proposals for courses that have broad appeal and will attract a strong enrollment. CGS will also prioritize proposals that emphasize concrete strategies and plans to address inclusion, diversity, and accessibility in a course.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Eligibility and amount:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Course development grants are awarded on a competitive basis, with the online application normally announced during Winter Quarter. UW faculty at all levels from all disciplines and campuses of the University of Washington are encouraged to apply. The amount per award is usually between $1,500 \u2013 $2,000. Faculty may submit only one application per year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Questions?
