While it is possible that some form of Department of Education funding may be restored in future, the cuts represent a major challenge to the National Resource Centers and associated Foreign Language and Area Studies programs. The Marcy Migdal Fund supports exceptional students engaged in activities aimed at enhancing access to education for vulnerable students, either locally or throughout the world, and helping them succeed in their education. The two day workshop brought community college educators from across the region and country to learn about the cultural, social, and economic impact of global sport. Due to recent federal funding cuts, the 2025 CCMTI will be the last such workshop offered for the foreseeable future.
