Join us for this free session of the Global Studies Virtual Symposium series\u00a0an event that connects global studies scholars and educators across community college campuses nationwide. The symposium offers an engaging teaching and learning forum for sharing best practices, ideas, and resources with colleagues.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s explore global differences in access to travel & culture together! Which are the most\/least powerful passports? How do we classify movements among people based on identity (e.g. race\/ethnicity, geography, privilege, etc.)? How do we navigate new cultures as travelers and as residents (Berry\u2019s Model of Acculturation)? Join this session to learn more\u2026<\/p>\n

Miki Huntington is an educator, speaker, facilitator, mentor, life coach, and military veteran. She has a BA in Political Science from UCLA, MA in International Relations\/Asian Studies from the University of Washington, and a Post-Master\u2019s Certificate in College Teaching from Capella University. Miki teaches Political Science courses at Minneapolis College and Century College. She is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and she is also a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor.<\/p>\n
