What are you doing to bring local to global and global to local? How are you connecting AI to Global Studies? This program is made possible with the support of funding from the U.S. Department of Education through the Title VI National Resource Center (NRC) program.<\/div>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Past Global Studies Virtual Symposium Events<\/h2>\n<h3>2023 Symposium<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 2023 Global Studies Virtual Symposium was held on April 14, and April 28, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Day 1 presentations all highlighted themes of internationalizing the curriculum at home. Day 1 of the virtual symposium had a focus on globalizing the curriculum, group roles in a global team, and\u00a0 integrating global studies topics into technical courses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> The Day 2 presentations all highlighted themes of exchange, study abroad, and study away. Day 2 highlighted presentations that focused on creative technology ideas, creating culturally responsive classrooms, data visualization to globalize the curriculum, as well as a virtual African exchange program on civic responsibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>2022 Symposium<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 2022 Global Studies Virtual Symposium was held on April 22, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Presentations included topics such as resources to prepare students for work in our interconnected world, how international students are impacted by virtual learning, online study abroad technology, and inspiring equitable change through OERs in Global Studies.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>2021 Symposium<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 2021 Global Studies Virtual Symposium was held on April 23, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This virtual one-day conference highlighted presentations that focused on global perspectives, sustainable development, strategic leadership, and civic engagement, and offered the opportunity for participants to share highlights from respective campus global studies programs\/courses. After an opening remark discussing &#8220;What is Global Studies?&#8221; There were eleven community college presenters whose topics fell into the thematic categories of global studies, equity and inclusion, pedagogy, and study abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>2020 Symposium<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 2020 Global Studies Virtual Symposium was held on April 24, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The symposium highlighted presentations that had a focus in Muslim Democracy, expanding worldview in classrooms, the Middle East in Global Studies, engaging Muslim students, and life in the time of Coronavirus. There were eight presentations that included themes of inclusion, travel\/study abroad, curriculum, and area studies. <\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Questions?
