For intermediate to\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">advanced level Chinese language\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">learners.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Please Contact Instructor for Add Code<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: yanzh@uw.edu<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Chinese for Professional Purposes is a comprehensive course designed for intermediate to advanced level Chinese language learners seeking to develop their Chinese proficiency for professional purposes through\u00a0 discussions, presentations, and interviews.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Throughout the course, students will focus on formal language and develop their listening, reading, speaking,\u00a0 and writing skills through the textbook \u201cChinese for Working Professionals\u201d by Yi Zhou and Haidan Wang, as\u00a0 well as a related TV series called \u201cThe Rational Life.\u201d This course covers a wide range of topics relevant to\u00a0 professionals in many fields, including career preparation, confronting changes, the sharing economy,\u00a0 cross-cultural communication, resolving conflicts and cultural differences, and more. The related TV series will\u00a0 be used to enhance students\u2019 understanding of the language. Course content and projects are designed to\u00a0 help students develop the necessary proficiency to confidently navigate a wide range of professional settings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The course is offered for 3 or 5 credits. Students who choose to enroll for 5 credits will have the\u00a0 opportunity to work with a tutor or teacher to develop their language skills through an individualized, ca reer-oriented study plan.
