Ellison Center for Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies in the Henry M. In her personal work she often looks into her homeland &#8211; the Arctic, discovering and capturing the remote worlds and people who inhabit them. Evgenia is a National Geographic Society Storytelling Fellow, a recipient of the ICP Infinity Award, Leica Oskar Barnack Award.<\/p>\n<p>Her work is often located within the tradition of magical realism, and her approach combines documentary and narrative styles to create a distinctive visual iconography rooted in real experience but resonant with fable, myth and romanticism. Her work has been exhibited internationally and appeared in publications such as National Geographic, Time and The New Yorker magazines among others. She lives in London, UK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Moderator:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Dr. Nadia Jackinsky-Setchi<\/strong><\/em> is part-time lecturer in University of Washington&#8217;s School of Art + Art History + Design. Nadia is currently teaching a course in circumpolar art at the University of Washington.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Host:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Sabine Lang<\/em><\/strong> is the\u00a0Professor of International and European Studies, and Director of the Center for West European Studies and the The Herbert J Ellison Center for Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies, in the Henry M.
