This minor offers a combination of Portuguese language classes (15 credits) at the intermediate level and 10 credits of elective classes focus on the Portuguese-speaking world. The elective classes are mostly offered in English.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Portuguese has 279 million speakers on four continents, including Africa and Asia.
\n\u2022 Brazil is home to the world\u2019s 4th largest democracy and 8th largest economy.
\n\u2022 Scholarship opportunities available through Boren<\/a>, CLS<\/a>, and FLAS<\/a>, offered by the UW Center for Global Studies.<\/p>\n
