\nGRAND OPENING\u00a0RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY<\/h3>\n

Join us as we officially open the new Nordic Museum! The ribbon cutting ceremony will feature remarks by one representative from each of the Nordic countries, the Secretary General from the Nordic Council of Ministers, and other local and international figures.<\/p>\n

\nGRAND OPENING\u00a0MUSICAL PERFORMANCES<\/h3>\n

Following our Grand Opening ribbon cutting ceremony, enjoy\u00a0an afternoon of Nordic choirs, choruses, and traditional folk musicians performing in\u00a0our Great Hall and on a special outdoor stage\u00a0!\u00a0Choirs, instrumentalists, storytellers, youth musicians, and folk performers will all be featured.\u00a0Over the course of the weekend, visitors will see more than\u00a030 performers, representing all five Nordic countries, including Norway\u2019s Vokal Nord; F\u00f3stbr\u00e6\u00f0ur, the Icelandic Male Chorus; Norwegian singer Eva Vea; Swedish Grammy nominated artist Petra Stahl; Voices of Reykjavik; and Migrasong, a performance focusing on the history of emigration from Norway; as well as beloved local performers. In celebration of our Grand Opening and launch of our\u00a0Nordic Nights<\/em>\u00a0program on May 10, Nordic Museum presents internationally acclaimed recording artist\u00a0Chelsea Wolfe\u00a0<\/a>for a special Saturday night concert in our Great Hall! Joining Chelsea are Icelandic post-punk band\u00a0Mamm\u00fat<\/a>,\u00a0Finnish singer-songwriter\u00a0Mikko Joensuu<\/a>, and Danish grunge-rockers\u00a0Baby in Vain<\/a>.\u00a0Tickets are $18 for members, $25 general admission.<\/p>\n
