He then completed two masters degrees in European History and Sociology at\u00a0University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Lastly, he completed his Ph.D in Sociology at New York University. Professor Pfaff has taught\u00a0<span class=\"views-field views-field-field-custom-title\"><span class=\"field-content\">SOC 357 A: Sociology of Religion,\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"views-field views-field-field-custom-title\"><span class=\"field-content\">SOC 316 A: Introduction to Sociological Theory, and\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"views-field views-field-field-custom-title\"><span class=\"field-content\">SOC 555 A: Methods in Macro, Comparative, and Historical Sociology to name a few.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Professor Pfaff has recently published a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Spiritual-Virtuoso-Personal-Social-Transformation\/dp\/1474292399\">book<\/a> and the following articles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Spiritual-Virtuoso-Personal-Social-Transformation\/dp\/1474292399\">Goldman, Marion S., and Steven Pfaff.\u00a0The Spiritual Virtuoso Personal Faith and Social Transformation.
