May 26, 2017 | HUB 334 | 3:30-4:30pm<\/strong><\/p>\n This event is free and open to the public<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n This panel on power and regionalism in Europe, Asia, and Latin America brings together a diverse group of scholars who will talk about a range of issues from German regional hegemony in the Eurozone crisis, to the on-going Sino-Japanese rivalry and the role of power hierarchies in South American regional integration. The changing power structures globally, and regionally have raised several questions regarding current institutional structures, and the logic of institutional progression and integration. The rise of China in Asia, the Eurozone crisis, and the role of Brazil in the institutional design of Mercosur are but a few examples of the topics that will be discussed.
