The workshop is divided into four panels: <strong>&#8220;Voices of Migrants and Local NGO&#8217;s&#8221;<\/strong>, &#8220;<strong>Root Causes of Forced Migration<\/strong>&#8220;, &#8220;<strong>Current Migration to Europe, Canada and the United States&#8221;<\/strong>, and <strong>&#8220;Civil Society and the Governance of Migration: Government and Civil Society Response.&#8221;<\/strong> \u00a0Each session will have moderators and note-takers who help facilitate the large group conversation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Join us to interact, learn and share your ideas on ways to improve the current migration framework with experts from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unhcr.org\/en-us\">United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.georgetown.edu\/\">Georgetown University<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/\">Human Rights Watch<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/help.rescue.org\/donate?ms=gs_brnd_eoy_best_ES_141217&amp;utm_source=brandedSearch&amp;utm_medium=ppc&amp;utm_campaign=eoy&amp;utm_content=branded&amp;gclid=Cj0KEQjw7Ne_BRDRmP2ojKfzv98BEiQAPuqPyUyYkheL_PrHAPFOz0GGHYQ2E6LVmp-I5RZsHvpMt4kaAj6N8P8HAQ\">International\u00a0Rescue Committee<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washington.edu\/\">University of Washington,<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercycorps.org\/\">Mercy Corps<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvic.ca\/\">University of Victoria<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umich.edu\/\">University of Michigan<\/a>, among others.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">We will be live tweeting the event using<strong> #UWGlobMig<\/strong> and will have a list of important partners you can tweet to.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>This event is free and open to the public \u2013<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/a-conversation-on-the-global-migration-crisis-and-human-rights-tickets-26807121823\"> registration required<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">For more information contact jsis@uw.edu.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Conference: A Conversation on the Global Migration Crisis and Human Rights Friday, October 14, 2016: 8:30am &#8211;
