What does this vote mean for the European Union? How will this impact\u00a0businesses that deal with the EU? Come to the Walker-Ames Room of Kane Hall on <strong>Friday, October 28th,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0engage in\u00a0a day of Brexit panels put on by the <a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/cwes-euc\/\">Center for European Studies and EU Center<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/foster.uw.edu\/\">UW Foster School of Business<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.uw.edu\/\">UW School of Law<\/a>. Faculty members from each school will address separate panels covering historical context, the economics of Brexit, and the legal implications.<\/p>\n<p>Registration begins at 8:30am, and the first session will kick off with\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freshfields.com\/en\/global\/\">Law Offices of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer<\/a> in Brussels and London contextualizing\u00a0the legal ramifications. From 10:00am-11:00am explore the historical and political setting for Brexit with <a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/people\/daniel-chirot\/\">Dan Chirot<\/a> of the Jackson School and <a href=\"http:\/\/students.washington.edu\/cisbmail\/staff_fac.php\">Phil Shekleton<\/a>\u00a0of the Foster School. Delve into\u00a0the economic implications of Brexit as <a href=\"http:\/\/foster.uw.edu\/faculty-research\/directory\/debra-glassman\/\">Debra Glassman<\/a> of the Foster School leads a panel on the economic, financial, and commercial consequences of this historic vote from 11:00am &#8211; 12:00pm. Lastly, from 12:00pm-12:30pm, checkout the legal issues panel, headed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.washington.edu\/directory\/Profile.aspx?ID=162\">Walter Walsh<\/a> of the UW Law School, as he explains doing business &amp; transnational implications of Brexit.
