European Parliament, Brussels, Belgium<\/i><\/p>\n

Interested in gaining real-world experience in a European professional context? Looking to deepen your knowledge of the workings of the European Union? Multiple\u00a0European Union institutions offer internship opportunities for American and other non-EU students.<\/p>\n

Delegation of the European Union to the United States<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

This internship program offers dynamic individuals the opportunity to learn about the work of one of the EU\u2019s largest and most active diplomatic missions and to develop a comprehensive understanding of the EU-U.S. relationship. Interns hone important skills in the field of international relations and acquire practical experience in a specialized area of the Delegation\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

European Commission<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

A paid traineeship of 5 months with the European Commission (or some executive bodies and agencies of the European Institutions, e.g.\u00a0the European External Action Service or Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation), starting on either 1st March or 1st October.<\/p>\n

European Parliament<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The European Parliament offers several options for traineeships within its Secretariat, to provide opportunities for vocational training and for learning more about what the European Parliament is and does.<\/p>\n

European Central Bank<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The ECB’s traineeship program offers the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge you acquired during your studies and get a better understanding of what working for Europe entails.<\/p>\n

European Economic and Social Committee<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Twice a year the European Economic and Social Committee offers traineeships for a period of five months to university graduates.<\/p>\n

European Investment Bank<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The EIB offers a limited number of internships for university graduates with less than one year of professional experience who wish to acquire an understanding of the Bank\u2019s work. Internships normally last between one and five months,\u00a0and\u00a0are based at the EIB\u2019s headquarters in Luxembourg.<\/p>\n
