Emilie is the Student Assistant for The Ellison Center and The Center for West European Studies. She is also an MA student in the Jackson School in the REECAS program, where she focuses on the Nordic-Baltic Region. Originally from Northern Colorado, she studied Russian Literature and Film during her BA degree at the University of Colorado Boulder. After which, she lived in New York for several years before beginning the program at the Jackson School. She is interested in politics, culture, and security issues related to the region, and her current research focuses on Estonia. Additionally she is working on her Russian and Estonian language proficiency, and is conversational in Spanish. She has studied and traveled in Denmark, and is hoping to spend more time in the Baltic Sea region soon.
