The\u00a0 Executive Master of\u00a0 International Studies offers students two immersive learning experiences as they wrap up their graduate study. During winter and spring quarters, students undertake Applied Research Client Projects to work hand-in-hand with clients across the Pacific Northwest to tackle real world challenges. Our client list is drawn from the EMIS Civic Council<\/a> and includes public, private, and non-profit actors from the Seattle area.<\/p>\n

Also during spring, students participate in the annual International Strategic Crisis Negotiation Exercise, co-hosted by the U.S. Army War College. Students parachute into the middle of a high-stakes negotiation guided by diplomats, business leaders, and military officers guide hey negotiate solutions to an ongoing international crisis. Both experiences allow students to work closely with leaders across the international affairs arena, explore future career opportunities, and refine their oral presentation, negotiation, crisis decision-making, teamwork skills.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
