Archives of Serbia, being a central institution responsible for the preservation of the archival material Serbia-wide, performs close professional supervision over the safeguarding of the documentary heritage and its condition, offers expert help and gives instructions how to enhance overall activities related to its preservation and how to carry out measures for the safekeeping of the archival material in its custody, controls the work of the archival institutions, organizes professional exam tailored for the archival professionals within the archival network and those working outside archival institutions, manages register on documentary heritage, prescribes conditions and technical preventing measures for the protection of documentary heritage, conducts and organizes research of archival material of special importance for the history of Serbia and its people treasured in the relevant archival institutions abroad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
