European content focused outside the borders of the U.S.<\/li>\n<li>Proposal provides a detailed outline of the course or module.<\/li>\n<li>Proposal indicates how this course or module will broaden international offerings and\/or global perspectives at Community College\/Institution.<\/li>\n<li>Learning outcomes of the course or unit are clearly stated. Proposals for module development clearly identify how the unit relates to the overall content of the course.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Proposals will be disqualified for the following:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Lack of focus on Russian\/E. European content and perspectives<\/li>\n<li>World Language applications that are primarily concerned with language acquisition rather than study of Russian\/E. European culture, issues, and\/or perspectives.<\/li>\n<li>Any application that is America-centric in scope and focus. Content must include aspects of the Russian\/E. European world outside U.S. borders.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Definitions:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>\u201c<strong>Applicant<\/strong>\u201d is defined as the person who will be the instructor of record delivering proposed module, revised course, or new courses.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>\u201c<strong>Module<\/strong>\u201d is defined as the addition of new material, activities, and\/or assignments that broaden the Asian content of the course described in the proposal.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Modules should include approximately two weeks of instructional material that can be either a discreet unit or infused throughout the course.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>\u201c<strong>Complete Revision<\/strong>\u201d is defined as the addition of substantial new material, activities, and\/or assignments that infuse Asian content throughout the course described in the proposal.<strong>\u00a0A Complete Revision of a course must be substantially greater than the creation of a new Module.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>\u201c<strong>New Course<\/strong>\u201d is defined as the creation of a course that is a new addition to the Community College\u2019s\/Institution\u2019s\u00a0course catalog.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- Calendly inline widget end --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Russian and East European Studies Curriculum Development Grant Criteria and Definitions Content of new course, revised course or module: Proposal clearly details how the course or module connects to Russian\/E.
