Logistics for 2017 REECAS NW Conference
Venue at Reed College:
The Conference will take place in the Performing Arts Building ; West Parking (along 28th Avenue) is the closest parking lot presenters and attendees can use. Parking at Reed College is free and no permit is required.

For those traveling from Seattle to present at the Conference; a shuttle bus will leave from UW on Friday afternoon and return to UW on Saturday evening. Seating on the bus is limited. To reserve your seat, please fill out the Acceptance Form by March 17.
The bus will leave promptly on Friday, March 31 at 3:30 p.m. from N22 Parking Lot at the HUB. It will drop off everyone at the Mark Spencer Hotel in downtown Portland. On Saturday morning, April 1, it will leave from the Mark Spencer Hotel and drop off conference participants at Reed College. Finally, it will leave from Reed College at the end of the Conference (6 p.m.) and shuttle back to UW.
Conference Hotel: http://www.markspencer.com/ – student presenters from UW will be staying at this hotel. All other presenters and guests are welcome to make their own reservations at their own expense.

UW students presenting at the 2017 Conference, please read this carefully. You will be assigned to a double-occupancy room at the Mark Spencer hotel for the night of March 31.

Papers and Presentations:
Here are the deadlines for Conference participants to submit full papers and presentations:
- March 17 – Acceptance Form: a short survey to be filled out by all presenters and chairs;
- March 19 – Dropbox: presenters to submit full paper (this can be an advanced working draft); Please name your paper as follows: lastname_firstname_papertitle.pdf. Eg: Petrova_Valentina_Historical Legacies in Culture and Politics.pdf. PDF’s are preferred, but not required;
- March 26 – Dropbox: presenters to submit any slides they plan on using during their panel; Please name your PowerPoint file as follows: lastname_firstname_papertitle.pptx.
