Resources for Current Students

Internships & Employment

The possibilities for what you can do with a degree or certificate specialized in Russia, East Europe and Central Asia Studies (REECAS) are limited only by your imagination.

The Ellison Center strongly recommends students take advantage of the thriving international business, non-profit, and government communities in Seattle and elsewhere by pursuing an internship or practicum. The REECAS program offers two methods for students to earn academic credit for work experience while earning an M.A.

Outside Internships

The American Association of Teachers of Slavic and Eastern European Languages (AATSEEL) has a list of other possible paid and unpaid internship options ranging from teaching English and American culture in Russia to public policy internships in Budapest. See the full list here.
