Jessica Meyerzon is the Outreach Coordinator of the Ellison Center for Russian, East European, and Central Asian Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Jessica earned her B.A. at Lewis & Clark College, where she double majored in International Affairs and Foreign Languages (Russian/Spanish). She recently worked for American Councils for International Education, where she was a participant recruiter for their Future Leaders Exchange program (FLEX) in Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Estonia. During the 2017-2018 academic year, she also served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Belarus, where she taught courses at Baranovichi State University and collaborated with the U.S. Embassy in Minsk on multiple cultural exchange projects.
Jessica is eager to continue spreading awareness of Europe, Russia and Central Asia, as well as practicing the kind of people-to-people diplomacy that she plans to pursue as a lifelong career. Jessica’s language knowledge includes Russian, Spanish and basic French. She is also an avid salsa dancer and hiker.
