The group then reconvened to share working drafts. The workshop was meant to nurture educators as writers through self-reflection and group discussion.<\/p>\n<h3>Details<\/h3>\n<p>Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. \u2013 1:30 p.m., from September 27\u00a0to December 6, 2014<br \/>\nSeattle Asian Art Museum, Volunteer Park<\/p>\n<h3>Facilitator<\/h3>\n<p><a title=\"Mary Barber Roberts\" href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/earc\/people\/mary-roberts\/\">Mary Barber Roberts<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Workshop benefits<\/h3>\n<p>Free admission to the lecture and four free clock hours are available for each workshop. Educators earned up to 36 clock hours by attending all of the workshop sessions. The workshop was\u00a0open to all current K-12 teachers but\u00a0each session\u00a0was limited to 15 participants<b>.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3>Sponsorship<\/h3>\n<p>This workshop series was offered by the East Asia Resource Center in conjunction with the Seattle Asian Art Museum\u2019s Gardner Center for Asian Art and Ideas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seattleartmuseum.org\/programs-and-learning\/public-programs\/gardner-center\">Saturday University Lecture Series<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Lecture topics<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sept 27:<\/strong> Science and Technology in China: A Different Heritage, and Its Implications<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oct 4:<\/strong> What&#8217;s Up There?
