Recent publications include <i>Finger Bone<\/i>\u00a0by Hiroki Takahashi, winner of the\u00a0Miyoshi Translation Prize,\u00a0and <i>Traveling Practice<\/i>\u00a0by Yusuke Norishiro.\u00a0Nieda teaches literature and translation at Seattle Central College, serves as the Japanese-English mentor for the ALTA Emerging Translator Mentorship Program, and was Princeton University&#8217;s translator-in-residence in Fall 2026.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3><strong>Dates and Times<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><b>Tuesday, February 16, 2027, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM<\/b><\/p>\n<p><em>This program will be held on Zoom.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Program Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Participants are expected to read the complimentary book ahead of the program.<\/p>\n<h3>Benefits<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A free copy of the book <i>The He<\/i><i>aling Hippo of Hinode Park<\/i> by Michiko Aoyama.<\/li>\n<li>WA OSPI clock hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Registration<\/h3>\n<p>This program is free and open to current, in-service K-12 educators of all grades and subjects.
