Staying informed about global events, especially in East Asia, can be overwhelming with the constant flood of news. That\u2019s why we offered Behind the Headlines<\/strong><\/em>, an online series designed specifically for teachers. This series provided a clear and insightful overview of recent developments in Japan, China, North and South Korea, Taiwan, Xinjiang, Hong Kong<\/b>. Renowned regional experts shared in-depth analyses and context, helping educators better understand the complexities of these regions. Participants also had the chance to engage directly with the experts, fostering a rich and educational discussion on the current state of East Asia. The speakers included distinguished faculty from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington and other leading institutions. This was a unique opportunity to enhance teachers\u2019 knowledge and bring fresh perspectives to their classroom.<\/p>\n

Each session took place from 4:30 to 6:30 PM PST<\/strong>. The format included a 5-minute introduction, followed by a 50-60 minute lecture, a brief break, and approximately 50 minutes for Q&A and wrap-up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
