Teachers joined the Committee for Teaching About Asia (CTA)<\/strong> for CTA Day 2024 –\u00a0 Stories of Asian Art: In Consideration of a Decolonial Narrative<\/em><\/strong>. This year, we headed to the Seattle Asian Art Museum (SAAM)<\/a> to hear the stories of the SAAM collection and the curatorial decisions behind the make-up of the collection through a decolonized lens. The program was led by Yaoyao Liu, Manager of School & Educator Programs, Seattle Art Museum; Lauren Kent, Seattle-based artist and arts educator; and Melanie King, Art Historian and East Asia Resource Center Program Leader.<\/p>\n
