The 2011 earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear meltdown, and the 2021 Olympics were major focal points. We also discussed domestic and global politics and social problems like social withdrawal (<i>hikikomori<\/i>) and population aging.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This workshop was sponsored by the East Asia Resource Center (EARC) in the Henry M.
