How can we integrate China into our teaching and situate China in a global context? This course explored political, economic, social, and cultural themes in China&#8217;s recent past and present (1949-today) with an emphasis on pedagogical approaches for the classroom. Walk in and explore the dramatic and dynamic changes taking place across China today. Walk out with dozens of ready-to-go lessons designed to stimulate student curiosity about why China matters!<\/p>\n<h3>Details<\/h3>\n<p>June 1-2, 2017<br \/>\nDimond High School in Anchorage, AK<\/p>\n<p>The 15-hour workshop occured over two days during which the participants studied essential aspects of contemporary China in the morning under the direction of an East Asian scholar and
