EARC\u00a0does not currently offer summer study tours.<\/p>\n<h3>Summer study at other\u00a0NCTA coordinating sites<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.colorado.edu\/ptea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Program for Teaching East Asia<\/a> at the University of Colorado at Boulder usually offers two week-long summer institutes, which include meals, travel and housing<\/li>\n<li>The East Asian Studies Center at Indiana University offers an annual week-long summer workshop on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iu.edu\/~easc\/outreach\/educators\/literature\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Teaching East Asian Literature in the High School<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Travel with NCTA coordinating sites<\/h3>\n<p>The NCTA national coordinating sites at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.columbia.edu\/itc\/eacp\/ncta-columbia\/studytours\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Columbia University<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fivecolleges.edu\/fcceas\/ncta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Five College Center for East Asian Studies<\/a>\u00a0have\u00a0offered subsidized summer study tours in recent years and may do so again next summer. Sign up for their email updates to to be alerted about these opportunities: <a href=\"https:\/\/visitor.r20.constantcontact.com\/manage\/optin\/ea?v=001BUwRQSQtpQdK9Eq7HvOVnw%3D%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Columbia<\/a>. We will also send announcements to the\u00a0<a title=\"Stay up-to-date with EARC\" href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/earc\/email\/\">EARC email list<\/a>\u00a0when applications for NCTA summer study tours open.\u00a0<em>In order to be eligible for these study tours, teachers must have already completed\u00a0roughly 30 hours of NCTA courses, either online or in person.
