\"\"Dr. Mireya Soli\u0301s<\/a><\/strong> is Director of the Center for East Asia Policy Studies, Philip Knight Chair in Japan Studies, and a senior fellow in the Foreign Policy program at the Brookings Institution. Prior to her arrival at Brookings, Soli\u0301s was a tenured associate professor at American University\u2019s School of International Service.<\/p>\n

As an expert on Japanese foreign economic policy, U.S. \u2013 Japan relations, international trade policy, and Asia-Pacific economic integration, Soli\u0301s has offered expert commentary to a wide array of international news organizations.
