The Taiwan Studies Program at the University of Washington is offering a grant for UW faculty to develop courses related to Taiwan. Full details are available at https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/taiwan\/resources\/grants\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Courses must feature \u201cTaiwan\u201d in the course title. Preference in funding will be given to courses that have a greater focus on Taiwan. The Taiwan Studies Program welcomes global, transnational, comparative, or area studies approaches from social science, humanities and other disciplines.<\/p>\n

$2000: Courses centered on Taiwan
\n$1000: Courses that include Taiwan in a comparative or global perspective<\/p>\n

The course should be added to the official Time Schedule and withered (temporarily cross-listed) with the Jackson School of International Studies. Funds may be disbursed as summer salary (minus load) or research funds. Disbursal will occur the summer after the course is taught, and is contingent upon receiving the syllabus, course enrollment numbers, course evaluation quotes, and a short write-up to feature on the Taiwan Studies Program website.<\/p>\n

The deadline for 2020-21 academic year courses is October 15, 2019.<\/p>\n
