Ian serves as the communications assistant for the EAC, responsible for developing communications and outreach strategy. He produces promotional materials, social media and website content.
Ian received his bachelor’s degree from the UW Jackson School’s Japan Studies program in June 2017. After taking a year off school to roam the streets of Japan, he decided to return to the Jackson School to further his studies. His research interests are twofold: the science and technological innovation of Japan in the post-war period, along with the history and politics of Taishō democracy.
