Application cycle for the 2017 Workshop is now closed.

2017 Western United States Research Workshop on the European Union

April 21-22, 2017

University of Washington, Seattle

The workshop, now in its seventh year, provides a forum for US-based graduate students at the dissertation level to present research focused on the EU to faculty and peers.

Professors James Caporaso (University of Washington), Wade Jacoby (Brigham Young University) and Cliff Carrubba (Emory University) will be conducting the workshop.

Selected graduate students, from across the country, will give a formal presentation on their research proposal and will participate in other workshop activities. The Centers will cover the cost of round-trip economy airfare, along with two nights’ hotel stay, and most meals.

Doctoral students with dissertation topics focusing on the EU in any academic field and enrolled at a US institution may apply to attend the workshop. Applicants should submit a 5-page research proposal and curriculum vitae to cweseuc@uw.edu. Applicants should note the current stage of their research and the name of their dissertation/thesis adviser.

Any questions concerning the workshop should be directed to cweseuc@uw.edu.
