Annual K-14 Instructors Workshop – Policy Forum for Educators
The EU Policy Forum for Educators, begun in 1999, is an annual, day-long policy forum for K-14 educators organized by the Center for West European Studies. Each summer, the EU Summer Teachers Workshop series involves approximately 20 K-14 educators in addressing contemporary European and transatlantic issues.
Past workshop themes have included the challenges of globalization, the future of the EU, European environmentalism, and European security and defense. The workshop provides K-14 educators with training and curriculum materials to address these themes in their classes. More than 300 educators have participated over the course of the last 15 years.
The annual teachers workshop is held in August, and is an excellent opportunity for middle school, high school, and community college educators to learn about the events and challenges facing Europe today.
The registration fee includes 6 clock hours, parking, teaching materials, and lunch. Clock hours are only available to teachers who attend the full six hours of the workshop. Priority registration goes to full-time educators.
