Jackson School of International Studies seeks a student assistant to support a range of administrative, communications, and event planning tasks. The Center is particularly motivated to hire a graduate student with graphic design, desktop publishing, video editing, and\/or event planning experience. The student assistant provides support for publicity and logistics for Center events, and works directly with the Managing Director and Program Coordinator. The employment period will last throughout the 2023-24 academic year, contingent upon satisfactory performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Duties Include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maintaining and updating newsletters, website, and social media content<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Composing and editing blogs, interviews, and online news posts<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Creating posters and publicity materials for online and print distribution<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assisting with event support and logistics<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Preferred Qualifications:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-motivation, and ability to work independently<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Facility with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, or any basic graphic design or publishing software<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Experience with social media, marketing and\/or event planning<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Experience with Asana or similar project management platform<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
