Emphasis is placed on the roles of these languages within the cultures they serve as well as on linguistic, textual, and literary analysis.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.llc.washington.edu\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Language Learning Center<\/span><\/a> provides services and resources that advance language study and instruction for students, faculty, and departments at the University of Washington.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Thinking about studying Indonesian?\u00a0<\/b><\/span>Check out this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=W-ebISrPg80\"><span class=\"s2\">video<\/span><\/a> about the UW Indonesian language program.<\/p>\n<h3>Summer Intensive Programs<\/h3>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Southeast Asian Studies Summer Institute (SEASSI) at the University of Wisconsin in Madison<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seassi.wisc.edu\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Southeast Asian Studies Summer Institute (SEASSI)<\/span><\/a> is an eight-week intensive language training program for undergraduates, graduate students and professionals. It has been held since 1984 and is hosted by UW-Madison. Instruction is offered for academic credit in a variety of Southeast Asian languages.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Language Instruction in Southeast Asia<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The following opportunities are not affiliated with the University of Washington, but students should talk to their advisers about the possibility of earning UW credit for participating. The list is not exhaustive.
