Doctoral students whose research involves Chinese history, including those in departments other than History, may wish to consider taking the two-part graduate seminar HSTAS 555-556, Core Research Seminar in Chinese History.\u00a0 This will be taught in the Winter and Spring quarters, meeting Wednesdays from\u00a011am-12:50pm<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 Students are expected to take both parts.\u00a0 The primary goal of this course is to introduce students to strategies of researching and writing Chinese history, with the focus on the production of a research paper equivalent to a dissertation chapter or journal article.\u00a0 Those students interested in taking this class should contact the instructor, Prof. Matthew Mosca (mosca@uw.edu<\/a>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
