She received the largest award of the three recipients.<\/p>\n<p>The Robert HN Ho Family Foundation Greater China Research Grant is offered by the Asia Art Archive (AAA). The organization established a residency for researchers of Greater China. The grant recipients will conduct research on contemporary art from China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The grant funds fieldwork and on-site research at the AAA.<\/p>\n<p>The following is a description of Belinda&#8217;s research mentioned in the full AAA <a href=\"http:\/\/artasiapacific.com\/News\/AsiaArtArchiveAnnouncesThreeRecipientsOfTheRobertHNHoFamilyFoundationGreaterChinaResearchGrant\">press release<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Belinda Qian He is a PhD candidate in the department of comparative literature, cinema and media at the University of Washington. Her research project is a multidisciplinary exploration of the representation of \u201cstruggle sessions\u201d in a \u201csocialist and post-socialist media culture.\u201d He\u2019s research will focus on case studies that tie together art history, multimedia representations and anthropological studies to \u201cestablish a relationship between the daily realities during the Maoist Period and the projected image of these major events in Chinese history.\u201d The analysis will mainly address how the struggle sessions forged the social construction of virtue in post-war Chinese societies.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Congratulations again, Belinda!
