The UW China Studies Graduate Student Association<\/strong> meets throughout the school year to build interdepartmental connections between graduate students studying China in different disciplines, discuss individual projects, and provide mentorship for newer students. Monthly Lunches
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Monthly lunches bring graduate students together from different departments to socialize and find mentors and collaborators for research projects.<\/p>\n

Chinese Language Happy Hour
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The China Studies Graduate Student Association hosts at least one Chinese language happy hour each quarter so that graduate students with research interests related to China can socialize in Chinese.<\/p>\n

Language Partners<\/span><\/p>\n

The language partner program pairs native Chinese speakers with native English speakers to mutually strengthen the language skills needed to succeed in the UW China Studies Program. The China Studies Graduate Student Association provides funding for students to meet up at one of the many coffee shops around campus or on the Ave.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
