China Studies MA Student Funding

The China Studies Program MA Fellowship

The Admissions Committee of the China Studies Program at the University of Washington
annually offers fellowship support for the first academic year to high-ranking China Regional
Studies MA applicants. The MA Fellowship includes a $4,500 stipend ($500/month over nine
months) and a Non-Resident Tuition Waiver. The waiver allows the student to qualify for in-
state tuition which will lower the amount of tuition required by approximately half.

Funding for the MA Fellowship offered to incoming China Studies graduate students is
generously provided through the China Studies’ Mellon Endowment.
