Titled<i>Across the Salish Sea: Canada-U.S. Connections in the Pacific Northwest<\/i>, educators spent time in both Seattle and Victoria developing a greater understanding for the issues and peoples that connect this region. The educators \u2013 including faculty in colleges of education and in schools that serve disadvantaged youth \u2013 will bring new curricula to their classroom that will enhance cross-border understanding including the influence of Indigenous organizations in North American affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Please find below links to the program, presenter biographies, and final report for the <i>38th Annual STUDY CANADA Summer Institute for K-12 Educators<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2017\/06\/2016-STUDY-CANADA-Final-Agenda-6_201.pdf\">Program<br \/>\n<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2017\/06\/Speaker-Bios-2016.pdf\">Biographies<br \/>\n<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2017\/06\/2016-Report-Card-on-STUDY-CANADA-Autosaved.pdf\">Final Report<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.k12studycanada.org\/scsi.html\">STUDY CANADA Summer Institute for K-12 Educators<\/a><i>, is the Pacific Northwest National Resource Center on Canada\u2019s annual professional development workshop. The Institute has been offered by Western Washington University since 1987 in partnership with the Canadian Studies Center.
