Her dissertation,<strong> &#8220;The impacts of industrial fishing on household food security: insights from the Canadian North,&#8221; <\/strong>explores the intersection of industrial fisheries and food security in Arctic communities, providing key insights into how fisheries development could impact access to traditional and market-based foods.<\/p>\n<p>Samantha Farquhar was awarded two Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowships to study French by the Canadian Studies Center for the Summer of 2018 and the 2018-19 academic year.
