Monick Keo, program coordinator for the Center from 2016-18, recently married her partner Ted Bui\u2013both UW alumni.<\/span><\/p>\n

Monick started as a work-study student for the Canadian Studies Center and later was appointed program coordinator. This last December she and her long-time partner married.\u00a0<\/span>Monick and Ted met while students at the UW. Planning a wedding during a pandemic had its twists and turns but they were able to hold an intimate wedding with family and friends at the Almquist Winery in Seattle. Additionally, they recently bought their first home together in Seattle’s crazy housing market! Monick and Ted are very excited to begin their next adventure together as newlyweds along with their 13 year old furbaby, Kaya.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After Monick’s departure from UW, she attended Ada Developers Academy, a competitive coding bootcamp for women and gender expansive people with the mission to change the face of tech through diversity. Monick successfully made her career transition and has been a Software <\/span>Development Engineer for two years at Zillow.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
