UW Fulbright Canada Chair in Arctic Studies

In 2006 the UW (Vice Provost for International Education) and the Foundation for Educational Exchange between Canada and the United States agreed to establish a Fulbright Visiting Research Chair at the UW. In 2013, Fulbright Chair became the UW Fulbright Canada Visiting Chair in Arctic Studies, bringing scholars, scientists, practitioners and leaders involved in Arctic affairs to the University of Washington to build new synergies with Canadian colleagues and reinforce relations. The UW Fulbright Canada Visiting Chair in Arctic Studies is supported by the UW Office of Global Affairs, the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies, Social Sciences Division, College of Arts and Sciences, College of the Environment, and the Foundation for Educational Exchange Between Canada and the United States of America, Ottawa. The Canadian Studies Center, in the Jackson School, serves as the hosting unit for the Canada Fulbright Chair.
