The African Studies program finished the 2020-2021 academic year with an amazing 1-day symposium organized by Jackson School Ph.D. candidate\u00a0Francis Abugbilla<\/strong>\u00a0and Communications Ph.D. student\u00a0Meagan Doll<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0Panels featured current \u201cworks-in-progress\u201d from Africanist graduate students around campus at different stages of the Ph.D. process.\u00a0\u00a0Given the challenges of research under current conditions, the symposium provided an opportunity for students from International Studies, Communications, Political Science, Law, and English to discuss strategies for research design, fieldwork and writing Africa-centric scholarship today.<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
